The Sq Arts Project is a creative arts initiative with the aim of delivering vibrant, creative spaces throughout the centre, that delights customers, champions artistic talent, and promotes local and worthy causes.

Bee Mural

Check out our latest mural at our pollinator bed on Level 3, one of many pollinator-friendly areas throughout the site, all part of our commitment to the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan.
Also for World Bee Day- we had a great family event on outside the cinema to celebrate the big day. With talks on how to help the bees while having lots of fun with face painting, arts & crafts and lots more.

We’re so delighted to unveil our fabulous new mural of Tallaght legend and international star, Ireland captain, Katie McCabe, this International Women’s Day. Created by another talented Tallaght woman, artist Emmalene Blake. Katie is an inspiration to us all and like all of Tallaght, Dublin and Ireland, we’re so proud of all she’s achieved. Katie will lead Ireland in this year’s FIFA World Cup finals in Australia / NZ and we’re right behind her and the team.

Rainbow Walkway
JUNE 2022
We were delighted to be joined today by South Dublin Mayor Peter Kavanagh to launch our new Rainbow Walkway to kickstart Pride celebrations at The Square.
Also in attendance were Cllr Alan Edge of the South Dublin LGBT+ Network, Pride @ The Square ambassador Paul Ryder, artist Fran Halpin, Fiona Power (The Square), Dave Mooney (Fusion Events)
Our Rainbow Walkway installation is a permanent fixture, and the first step to making The Square a more inclusive, welcoming place and ongoing supporter of our LGBT+ community.
Tree of Hope Mural
OCTOBER 2021
To mark World Mental Health Day 2021, The Square teamed up with local street artist Emmalene Blake, and JIGSAW for our “Be Sound to Your Ceann” campaign.
Central to the campaign was the transformation of our “Tree of Hope” area on Level 3 with a vibrant new and permanent mural by Emmalene.
Emmalene’s design was also replicated on limited edition t-shirts and a pop up selfie station as part of a fundraising campaign in October 2021 for JIGSAW Youth Mental Health.
