Free Family Event taking place on July 22nd aims to highlight Community Services in South Dublin

South Dublin County Council, An Garda Siochána together with The Square, Tallaght are holding a free Community Services Fun Day in the east car park, Level 1, in The Square, Tallaght on the 22nd July 2023 from 11.00a.m. to 3.00p.m.

This free event will feature entertainment for kids, including bouncy castle, games zone, face painting, Shamrock Rovers F.C. and live DJ throughout the day. The East Car park in The Square Tallaght will also be full of displays and vehicles from services such as Dublin Fire Brigade, National Ambulance Services, The Defence Forces, South Dublin County Council, Tallaght Hospital, CHI, Blood Bikes East, Water Safety Ireland, South Dublin County Partnership, Dublin Airport Fire Brigade, Dublin Bus, Luas, Go Ahead and many more on the day.

Tallaght Garda Station will also be open to members of the public with the Garda Band performing on the day and families getting the opportunity to get up close to Garda Vehicles and Bikes, Garda Memorabilia, Little Blue Heroes as well as getting the opportunity to see inside the station.

This purpose of this event is to celebrate and highlight the essential services provided within South Dublin from various organisations and to invite members of the community to get up close and personal with these services, while also providing key information on how to avail of these services.

The event will begin at 11.00 a.m. with a quiet hour to allow those with sensory issues to attend and still enjoy the fire engines and entertainment. The event will then be open to the public at 12.00 p.m. until 3.00 p.m. for all.
