As I am sure many of you are aware, one of our amazing ladies from the Customer Service Desk, Ann Hogg, lost her long and brave battle with cancer and passed away peacefully on 28th November surrounded by her family and loved ones. Ann was only 68 years old.

Ann was loved and respected by everyone in the Square having worked at the customer services desk for 17 years. Her dedication, commitment and professionalism made her simply the best at what she did and she won numerous awards and accolades for her wonderful, helpful personality. Ann also did a huge amount of work in the community and was recognised in this respect winning the “Tallaght person of the year” in 2014 in recognition of her love and devotion to Tallaght.

Throughout her illness, Ann was determined to continue to work and remained professional, never letting her illness impact on her positivity or ability to help others. She was quite simply “The Heart of the Square” and her passing has impacted on us all deeply.

I thought it only fitting that we should remember Ann’s legacy in a way that she would deem fitting and reflect on all of the great work she delivered to the Centre and the community.

On Thursday 14th and 15th December, we will be honouring Ann by having a charity cycle on the Centre Mall with all funds going to the Irish Cancer Society who work tirelessly to combat this terrible illness that takes so many of us too soon.

I would like to ask for your support in helping us raise funds in Ann’s name and in so doing show the true community spirit of the Square, Tallaght.

Please donate what you can on the day or via https://www.gofundme.com/annhogg
